At Roam Around, we believe that travel should not only enrich the traveler but also positively impact the communities we visit. As a responsible tourism company in Pakistan, we are dedicated to preserving the environment, uplifting local communities, and ensuring that our tours benefit both travelers and locals alike.
Our commitment to sustainable tourism goes beyond words. We have taken actionable steps to support communities in need across Pakistan. In the aftermath of the devastating floods of 2022, we initiated a major project with the help of Camille and Illies the french content creators and documentary film makers (Les Artisans de Demain) to build 70 traditional houses for the Kohli community, helping them rebuild their lives and preserve their cultural heritage.
Additionally, we provided critical food relief, distributing packages to over 800 families, ensuring they had the support they needed during difficult times.
One of our most impactful projects has been the installation of a solar-powered RO (reverse osmosis) plant at Manchar Lake, providing clean drinking water to over 2,000 Mohanas, a fishing community that had long struggled with access to safe water.
